TOMAŽ BESEK APPOINTED INTERIM OPERATING OFFICER OF HSE

At today’s extraordinary session, the Supervisory Board of Holding Slovenske elektrarne d. o. o. appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of the company, Tomaž Besek, as an interim operating officer and a member of the Management Board. According to the Supervisory Board, the appointment of an interim operating officer of the company was necessary in order to implement the planned scope and content of the tasks of the Management Board of the company, which should start immediately, and to secure the implementation of the regular operational tasks.

On 28 March, Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH), in the role of the founder of Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE), relieved Milan Perović and Viktor Vračar of their duties as members of the Supervisory Board of HSE after they had tendered their resignations, and appointed Goran Brankovič and Tomaž Besek as new members of the Supervisory Board, effective as of 29 March. On 28 March SSH also adopted a clean copy of the Articles of Association of HSE, under which the company has three members on the Management Board – one director general and two operating officers. Accordingly, the Supervisory Board will immediately start with the procedure to appoint a third member of the Management Board – an operating officer of HSE.

Until 1 May 2019, HSE will be headed and represented by director general Stojan Nikolić and interim operating officer Tomaž Besek. The latter will be an interim operating officer until 30 April. On 1 May, Viktor Vračar will take over as an operating officer of HSE after being appointed to the post at the 49th regular session of the Supervisory Board on 25 March.
