Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE), as the largest producer of electricity from renewable energy sources, ensures uninterrupted and safe electricity supply to Slovenian households and companies despite the severe earthquake that occurred in the region around noon.

Generator 5 of Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant functioned normally at the time of the earthquake, which did not affect its operations. Generator 6 is undergoing an overhaul until January 2021.

Holding Slovenske elektrarne is also the largest Slovenian producer of electricity from renewable energy sources: in 2020, we produced as much as 87 per cent of electricity from renewable energy sources in Slovenia.
