NEW MANAGEMENT OF ŠOŠTANJ THERMAL POWER PLANT APPOINTED

(Ljubljana, 29 August 2018) The Management Board of Holding Slovenske elektrarne d.o.o. (HSE), in the capacity of the founder of the company Termoelektrarna Šoštanj d.o.o., the operator of the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant (TEŠ), appointed on Thursday, 29 August 2019, Viktor Vračar as the director general of the company, and Mitja Tašler as the director of the company. Both were appointed on the basis of a personal invitation for a four-year term, which starts on 1 September 2019.

Viktor Vračar, who is also a member of the Management Board of HSE as a an operating officer, has a PhD degree in business management and organisation and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. His professional career spans for more than 20 years, including more than 15 years as director of various companies. He is well acquainted with the operations of TEŠ not only as a former member of the Supervisory Board of HSE d.o.o., as he got to know the power plant in detail and on the operational level mostly during his stint as an operating officer of HSE in charge for production. For all this time he has been actively involved in the projects carried out at TEŠ and between TEŠ and its stakeholders.

Mitja Tašler, who was appointed an interim director of TEŠ on 26 February 2019, with the term starting on 1 March 2019, has a bachelor’s degree in electronics, and has more than ten years of working experience in the energy sector, including more than five years in leading and managerial positions. He has managed the company successfully since being appointed the interim director of TEŠ.
