MARKO MAVEC DISMISSED AS DIRECTOR GENERAL OF PREMOGOVNIK VELENJE

The supervisory board of the mine operator Premogovnik Velenje, d. o. o., adopted a decision at today’s regular session to dismiss the director general of Premogovnik Velenje Marko Mavec, resulting in an early termination of his term as of 29 May 2020. Director general of Premogovnik Velenje Marko Mavec has been dismissed from the post in accordance with the provisions of the articles of association and his employment contract. The supervisory board of Premogovnik Velenje also confirmed the 2019 Annual Report at today’s session.

Janez Rošer, who previously headed the work preparation department at Premogovnik Velenje, and who has been employed by the company since 2010, has been appointed interim director general, effective as of today.

Janez Rošer holds a PhD degree in geotechnical engineering. Since 2011 he has been an associate for mining and geodetic surveys at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and the Environment of the Velenje Education Centre, and since 2018 he has also been an assistant professor at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Mining and Environment of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana.
