HSE PRESENTS THE PRAPRETNO SOLAR POWER PLANT PROJECT TO FOREIGN JOURNALISTS

On the first day of Slovenia’s presidency of the EU Council, HSE General Manager Viktor Vračar, PhD and Executive Director of the Investment Sector, Marko Bahor, Mr Sc, presented a project of renewable energy sources, the Prapretno Solar Power Plant, to about 70 foreign journalists today. The foundation stone for the largest solar power plant in the country was laid on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Marko Bahor, Mr Sc, told reporters that the first stage of construction will be completed before the end of the year, when the power plant will be connected to the grid. In the first stage, the power plant will have a capacity of 3 MW, and by the third, which will be completed at the end of 2023, a total of more than 16 MW.

“This project means a new development of the closed area of the former thermal power plant, the production of green hydrogen and a green transition,” he added.
