BRANKO DEBELJAK, M.Sc., APPOINTED AS THE NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL OF ŠOŠTANJ THERMAL POWER PLANT

The management of Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE) appointed Branko Debeljak, M.Sc., as the new Director General of Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant (TEŠ) with a four-year term of office. In this position, he replaces the current Director General of TEŠ, Dr. Viktor Vračar, who was removed from this office as of today.

Mr Debeljak holds a university degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in management and organisation. He is one of the leading Slovenian experts in the field of thermoenergetics, in which he has worked throughout his career. He has been employed in leading positions at TEŠ for more than twenty years. Since 2016, he has been the executive director of the technical sector, responsible for its operational work, planning and the coordination of electricity production from Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant, as well as the development and maintenance activities of TEŠ. At today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board of HSE also gave its consent to his appointment as Director General of Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant. His term of office begins on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
