Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Slovenia visits Prapretno SPP

The Prapretno Solar Power Plant site was today one of the stops on the working visit of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Slovenia, Johan O. Verboom, who was warmly welcomed there by HSE representatives.

The Dutch Ambassador, together with his colleagues – consular assistant Franci Grilc and political adviser Mojca Pinterič, visited the largest operating solar power plant in Slovenia. Nenad Trkulja, M.Sc., project manager of Prapretno SPP, and Jure Čater from SRI presented them with details of the process of siting the power plant and the implementation itself, from the construction of the structure and its photovoltaic modules to the connection of the power plant to the grid and its operation. The interlocutors devoted a few more words to the site of the installation, as the solar power plant is located in a degraded area, and to the planned expansion of the solar power plant.

On this occasion, Mr Trkulja presented the entire HSE Group and the key activities of the group’s companies as well as future investments, which are based on the vision of HSE becoming the bearer of the green transition in Slovenia. The representatives of the Dutch delegation and HSE exchanged opinions and practices regarding renewable energy sources and agreed that achieving the goals of the green transition will require the cooperation of all spheres – economy, politics and education. This is the aim of the business conference planned by the Dutch embassy and scheduled for September, when a larger Dutch delegation will visit Prapretno SPP again.
