Hidroelektrarne na spodnji Savi d.o.o. (HESS)

The company that was created from the previous project coordinator of the hydropower plant construction on the lower river Sava, Joint Venture, is composed of Holding Slovenske Elektrarne, Dravske Elektrarne Maribor, Savske Elektrarne Ljubljana, Soške Elektrarne Nova Gorica, Termoelektrarna Brestanica and GEN Energija.
Joint Venture in the framework of the HSE Group successfully did business and built the first hydropower plant, the hydropower plant Boštanj, within the time-limit. It began with the construction of the hydropower plant Blanca and the hydropower plant Krško also within the time-limit. Because of transparent investments and accordance with the concessional contract and the Concessions Law, the investors agreed to transform the Joint Venture into an individual legal entity, whose job priority will be to continue to build other hydropower plants in the lower river Sava. GEN Energija Company also joined as a partner in the newly created company Hidroelektrarne na spodnji Savi, with which the reliability of financing the chain has increased and consequently made possible the shortening of the construction time. HSE Group has 51 percent of shares in the HESS Company.
