The Bulgarian market is also very important to HSE, as Bulgaria holds an important role on the electricity market in southwest Europe. In the process of adjusting the Bulgarian electricity market with EU directives, the Bulgarian operator of the transmission network ESO began executing organised auctions for granting cross-border transmission capacity, which enabled the export of electricity generated in Bulgaria, to all companies with a trade licence for electricity trade in Bulgaria. That is why we decided to make good use of this business opportunity and consequently reach new energy markets. HSE Bulgaria was entered into the register of companies for the activity of electricity trade in Sofia in October 2007.
