Blue energy

Energy from hydro power plants is the most important source of electricity from renewable energy sources in Slovenia as far as quantity is concerned. The HSE Group is the largest producer of hydropower in our country. The field of renewable sources of energy is therefore very important for trading as well as for the future external configuration of the company.

In 2004, in cooperation with the distribution companies we designed the Blue Energy project . Its purpose is to promote the development of energy from renewable sources, create a market with such energy and its sales in Slovenia. The project includes hydroelectric HSE subsidiaries, which are certified under international system RECS. Electricity from renewable energy sources in Slovenia is sold together with  distribution companies to customers under the Blue Energy brand. HSE guarantees to its project partners that the reproducibility of energy is to be realized on their behalves on the basis of the appropriate number of RECS certificates. Blue Energy has a single price of € 0.00417 / kWh. The brand is owned by HSE that coordinates the project and is responsible for communication with the public and for the promotion of Blue Energy. Within the project the independent brand and logo have been created and protected.

HSE is also the initiator and the bearer of the campaign You are Energy -  be efficient, whose aim is to promote the economical use of energy through various communication tools. The campaign has numerous Slovenian companies among supporters and a wide response from general and professional public, who supports the environment and wallet-friendly use of electrical power.
